Who we are

Love and Light for our Jewish Families is a grassroots effort led by a lifelong Angeleno and Jewish mom.

“After the fires, one of my dearest friends asked me to help her find a new mezuzah and candlesticks - just days after losing everything, I was so struck by how clear she was that having these few things with them would help to create the sense of home and comfort for their family.

We found something she liked and I managed to convince her to let me buy it for her. Of course, a good gift is always double-sided and knowing that I had supported her and that this small gift was bringing healing her way brought me a sense of hope as well.

It made me feel that this could be a little something we can do to help create a sense of home and to connect us to each other - a reminder that we are not alone in all of this.

If you can, please help me share with the Jewish communities on both sides of town. Two communities that I hold so close in my heart.”
